Hate the ex, love the jeans?
Same. Or at least we love the new trending style of denim with the relaxed fit, lived in feel. And as summer turns into to fall, the boyfriend jean has proved to be a chic alternative to the skinny styles, pairing with almost anything in your closet.
Here are four style tips on how to rock your denim this season:
Model Off Duty
For that effortlessly cool look we’re all dying for, pair your fave boyfriend jeans with chic separates like a loose-fit tee and slip-on sneakers. Accessories add that extra model-esque element, so don’t forget to jazz it up with a designer bag and sunnies. Take it to the next level by adding a pair of heels, which makes it super easy to take from day to night.
Dress up some ripped jeans with a button down shirt, tuxedo blazer and strappy heels. You can also pair with some cute flats for an equally preppy-chic look. Even though you probably can’t actually wear this to work, being lots of places don’t seem to allow distressed denim (“unprofessional”) – it’s still a great go-to outfit for running errands or hitting up brunch with friends.
Steal His Style
Throw on some Timberland boots and a loose top and prove you rock the just rolled out of bed look better than he does. This look obviously gives off a boyish vibe, so if you feel compelled it jazz it up a bit, add some feminine touches like hoop earrings or a cute scarf.
Pair two fall favorites and layer up with an oversized sweater, topped off with kitten heel booties or flat sneakers. It’s such a relaxed look, but you still look pulled together and ready for whatever. It’s a great outfit for shopping since you’re already in all-day wear shoes and easy on/easy off clothing pieces.
