Campbell comes out with some of the most outrageous shoes. But they’re pretty fun to look at, so let’s review..
There are the chunky platform Jeffrey Campbell shoes…
This style is probably his most popular and well known, especially the “Lita”. (Only images 2, 3, 4, and 6 are Litas) The Lita is pretty much what made him a household name. And despite their ginormous height (I mean, there’s a platform andddd a high chunky heel..) they’re actually pretty easy to walk in, and make most outfits look pretty badass. Pair ’em with high socks and jean shorts or
There are the simple-yet-edgy ‘everyday’ Jeffrey Campbell shoes/boots…
See? Not all of his shoes are completely craycray. Believe it or not.. he also makes some pretty cute flats and his boots are on fleeeeeek! (Did I really just say that?) But f’real, his new open side bootie thing he’s got going on is being copied left and right. It’s easy to slip on and off, but this added feature is what makes it an uber stylish bootie that stands out from the rest of the bootie crowd. (Right..leave it up to J.C. to stand out, once again.)
There are the weird-but-in-a-good-way Jeffrey Campbells
At first you’re all like.. what the heck is that? But the more you look at it, the more you’re like.. those are actually pretty cool. Any of ’em would jazz up a tee/jean combo with ease (without going overboard). Or, of course, they would take an already on-point outfit to the next level. But yeah, these are probably my favorite category of Campbells. Not too over the top.. but still worth the dough for such a unique shoe.
And then there are the “no words” Jeffrey Campbell shoes…
Like I said… no words.
No matter how atypical his shoes are, for some reason, you just know you owe it to yourself to at least have one pair of Campbells in your closet. Even if you don’t wear them every day or whatever, the satisfaction of trying them on and checking yourself out in the mirror anytime you want (especially fun when nude) is priceless. Bow-chicka-wow-wow. Gaga ain’t got NUTHIN’ on you, grrrrl.
