You Shouldn’t Be Afraid to Try These Trends

Fashion week always leaves us rife with inspiration, vaunting cutting-edge style pairings, fresh seasonal hues, up-and-coming prints and audacious fabric usage. However, for some, inspiration is all it is – which is fair. Fresh off the runway trends can definitely be intimidating at times. But, does that mean you should doubt your ability to nail them IRL? Absolutely not! Leave the reluctance at home and stop second-guessing your fashionable nature. We’ve compiled a list of ‘bold’ trends for you to tackle for spring/summer 2017.

This year the flower power takes a bolder approach with vibrant color clashes against dark backdrops and plenty of  blossoming 70’s vibes. It’s flirtatiously kitsch and a great way to step out of your print comfort zone.

Spring is lookin’ sweet indeed! Pops of toned down neons brightened up the runways and are now making street-style statements, with the tangerine shade reigning supreme. Designers like Roberto Cavalli really took advantage of the fresh hue, sending out an assortment of tangerine colored ensembles for spring ’17. This color’s ‘IT’ status has been solidified now, and for months to come!

Bra Tops

Taking the crop top to its presumed conclusion, bra tops made their 2017 trend debut at shows like Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham and Oscar de la Renta. Paired chicly with slouchy suit separates, evening skirts and cropped jeans, this bold style oozes extreme confidence.

Strappy Heels

Don’t get us wrong, we love the appeal of a simple heel, but even an avid minimalist should step outside the box and experiment. Strappy heels bring an added stylistic element that’s both contemporary and feminine.
